A 26-year old Millville man was killed Wednesday afternoon after the car he was driving collided with a vehicle on Highway 63 in Mount Pleasant Township, near Lake City.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, at 4:32 pm, Spencer Sommerfeld’s vehicle was southbound on Highway 63 when he and a northbound car driven by a 16-year old male crashed.
Sommerfield was killed in the crash. According to the report, He was not wearing a seatbelt.
The 16-year-old was transported to Mayo Clinic Hospital-Saint Marys with unspecified injuries.
The Wabasha County Sheriff's Office, Lake City Police Department, Lake City Ambulance, and Lake City Fire Department also responded to the crash.
