Favorite Hobby Outside Of School:

Most Memorable Experience Since Teaching:

One of my most memorable experiences teaching in Goodhue was last year when my middle school students wired a solar suitcase that was shipped overseas and installed in a schoolhouse in Africa. It was part of the We Share Solar initiative to provide light in an area without electricity. The students loved learning about circuits and working hands-on, but seeing their work come full circle by giving back to other kids in need made the experience truly incredible.

Why Did You Choose To Become A Teacher / Educator:

I chose to become a teacher because being around kids keeps the world feeling light and fun. Growing up, I only truly enjoyed subjects when teachers took the time to make them exciting, and I wanted to be that person for my students. Science and STEM naturally lend themselves to hands-on learning, which I love planning and teaching. I’m also very social, and building relationships with students throughout the day is one of the most rewarding parts of my job.
