Why Did You Choose To Become A Teacher/Educator:
After spending the summer in Santiago, Chile, South America, I knew I wanted to have a career where I was able to speak the language. With 20+ countries that speak Spanish and multiple cultures within those countries, my experience in Chile inspired me to travel and learn more. During my senior year in high school I became a Girl Scout Leader of 18 fourth graders. I co-lead with my best friend. We earned badges, did field trips, went to winter and summer camping and planned ceremonies. I so enjoyed the creativity of planning our activities and teaching the girls skills and having fun doing it. So, I combined the love of that experience and my studies abroad and all things Spanish and became a Spanish teacher.
