The Timberwolves dominated the third quarter of their 118-107 win over the Washington Wizards at Capital One Arena. The Wolves trailed by two at halftime before outscoring Washington 33-19 in the third to take control of the contest. Anthony Edwards poured in 38 points in the victory, while Karl-Anthony Towns chipped in with 27. The T-Wolves remain in first place in the Western Conference at 31-and-13. Minnesota visits Brooklyn tonight.
The Wild go for their fourth win in a row when they host the Nashville Predators at the Xcel Energy Center tonight. The Wild are coming off a 5-3 win over the Washington Capitals on Tuesday. The Wild are in seventh place in the Central Division with 47 points and a 21-21-and-5 record. Tonight's game starts at 7:00PM.
The Packers have moved on from their defensive coordinator. The team announced yesterday that Joe Barry was let go from his position. The move comes after head coach Matt LaFleur told reporters earlier in the week that he was "just starting the process" of the offseason. The defense struggled during the regular season, but performed better in the playoffs and held the 49ers to less points and yards than their season average last weekend.
The Bucks snapped the Cavaliers' eight game winning streak following a 126-116 victory at Fiserv Forum. Giannis Antetokounmpo led all scorers with 35 points tallied 18 rebounds and 10 assists for a triple-double. Damian Lillard netted 28 points as Milwaukee improved to 31-and-13. The Bucks still lead the Central Division and will host the Cavs in a rematch tomorrow night.
Meanwhile, the Bucks are reportedly hiring Doc Rivers as their next coach. Reports say Rivers agreed to a deal with the Bucks less than 24 hours the team fired its previous head coach Adrian Griffin. The Bucks fired Griffin after just 43 games into his first season as the team's coach. Rivers has been part of ESPN's NBA broadcast as an analyst this season after being fired as the coach of the 76ers last season.
Jim Harbaugh is making his return to the NFL. The Los Angeles Chargers and Harbaugh have agreed to terms for the national champion-winning coach to take over as the franchise's next head coach. Harbaugh returns to the NFL after serving as the head coach at the University of Michigan since 2015. The 60-year-old was the coach of the San Francisco 49ers from 2011-to-2014, where he racked up a record of 44-19-and-1 and led the team to three straight trips to the NFC Championship Game. Harbaugh wrapped up his 15-year NFL playing career with the Chargers in 2000.
