Area residents and businesses are invited to a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Highway 52 Zumbrota to Cannon Falls project Hader interchange, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The ceremony will take place at 10 am, Friday, November 4 at the new interchange.
The construction of the new interchange is part of MnDOT’s two-and-half-year construction project along Highway 52 between Zumbrota and Cannon Falls. The project will address safety risks along Highway 52.
The northbound exit and entrance ramps of the interchange and Highway 57/County Road 8 will open after the ceremony. The southbound lanes and the southbound exit- and entrance-ramps will open by Nov. 15.
People coming to the event should use Highway 52 and Goodhue County Road 9 to get to the event. The Highway 52 exit ramps to the ribbon-cutting site at Hader will not be open prior to the event, so use County Road 9 to reach County Road 8.
The project, which will continue construction through 2023.
