Mighty Mississippi River Clean-Up

This week, there are two opportunities to help clean up areas of the Mississippi River around our part of the river during Earth Week.

Today, Earth Day, you can meet at the base of He Mni Can-Barn Bluff this afternoon from 4-6 pm.

Saturday, volunteers can meet at the intersection of County Road 18 & Sturgeon Lake Road (near the Tipsy Turtle) at 9 a.m. Event goes from 9 to 11 a.m.   

Garbage bags will be provided, and participants must wear gloves and sturdy shoes.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

The Mighty Mississippi River Cleanup Challenge is sponsored by Goodhue County, the City of Red Wing, and the Honoring Dakota Project.
