The 2024 Marine Corps Toys for Tots season is underway and Goodhue County Coordinator, Marc Gerken, Retired U.S. Navy, says they will be accepting new unwrapped toys through Friday, December 13th.
Gerken says you will find Toys for Tots donation boxes in dozens of locations.
Gerken says the big toy event will be take place in a NEW location this year, Jefferson Elementary School in Red Wing on Saturday, December 21 from 9:30 am – 4:30 pm.
He says it’s easy to apply online for toys. Shoppers usually find it more difficult to find gifts for teens and he gives a few popular suggestions for around $20, earbuds, cell phone chargers and sports equipment.
Individual Family Applications are open until Monday, December 9th.
Besides Goodhue County, Gerkin’s territory also includes Olmsted County and Hager City, Bay City, and Diamond Bluff in western Pierce County.Â
