Flood Forecast Mississippi River


The water level on the Mississippi River is falling at a faster rate after a couple of days of dry weather.  


According to the National Weather Service, the river at Hastings below Lock and Dam 2 is forecast to drop below minor flood stage, 14.9 feet, by tonight.

 

Red Wing’s measurement stood at just under miner flood stage of 13 feet as of this Sunday and is forecast to fall under action stage, 12 feet, by Tuesday.  

 

The river at Lake City was under minor flood stage at 15.3 feet as of Sunday and is expected to slowly fall to below minor flood level, 14 feet, by Wednesday.


Wabasha is experiencing minor flooding, measured at 13.5 feet as of Sunday. The river is forecast to continue to fall and reach just over minor flood stage, 12.1 feet, by Saturday.
