
The 54th Annual Corn on the Cob Days celebration in Plainview kicks off today and runs through Sunday.
The event includes great food, live music, vendors, and entertainment.
Today, the Plainview Farmer’s Market is open from 4-7 pm in Bennett’s parking lot and Praise Fest and Pie Social by Immanuel Lutheran Church at 7 pm at the Wedgewood Park Shelter.
Thursday there are dances for grades 5- 8 and 9-12 at Copperfield Terrace and food trucks and live music at TJ’s Tavern.Â
Friday features live music by PopROCKS at TJ’s Tavern from 9 pm to midnight, with $10 admission.
Saturday is big day featuring a 5K and 1 mile run/walk, golf tournament, a Fun Fest (sponsored by People’s State Bank) and more. At 1 pm in front of the American Legion, it’s the special Greenwood Prairie Classic Iron Club Tractor Games.
Some of Sunday the 18th’s highlights include enjoying all the corn on the cob that you can eat served from 11 am-3 pm. The Grande Parade kicks off around 1:30 pm.Â
