Red Wing Downtown Main Street DEED Grant

The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development recently announced a big grant that will help revitalize Red Wing’s downtown.
Megan Tsui, Senior Strategy Consultant for Red Wing Downtown Main Street, says thanks to the Main Street Economic Revitalization grant from DEED, building owners can receive a grant for up to $150,000, or a maximum of 30% of the total project cost, for property repair or renovation, building construction, landscaping and street scaping, demolition and site preparation and more, predesign and design, engineering, non-publicly owned infrastructure or related site amenities.
She says there are several ways to fund the matching portion of the grant.
Tsui says even tenents could be eligible for the right type of project and new Executive Director, Andrea Hanson adds that potential new business owners can also take advantage of this opportunity.
Applications are due at midnight on June 30th.
