Red Wing area residents are encouraged to donate to this year’s Salvation Army Bell Ringing campaign.
Tom Kuelbs, Southeast Minnesota Field Representative, says there will be kettles set up at Family Fare in Red Wing and Cannon Falls and Island Market in Pine Island on Fridays and Saturdays.
He says you can give cash at the kettles, use the QR codes or go online to donate.
Kuelbs says 90% of donations stays in Goodhue County and helps the Salvation Army pay for rent, utility bills and other basic needs.
Bell ringing continues Fridays and Saturdays through Saturday, December 21st, and the Kettle Campaign runs through December 31st.
To volunteer for a bell ringing shift, or to donate, go online to https://www.registertoring.com/ and enter your zip code.
The goal this year is $18,000.
