Red Wing Man Minor Sexual Assault Sentence

44- year old Jeffrey David Nelsen of Red Wing, was sentenced to 12 years in prison for sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl on June 6th.                                                                                     

He pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and agreed to dismiss other charges.

Nelsen was initially charged with seven counts of criminal sexual conduct in June 2024.

The sentencing also includes 10 years of probation and registration as a predatory offender.

The investigation began after a report of an inappropriate relationship between Nelsen and the girl, leading to a forensic interview and examination of the girl's phone.
