The Red Wing City Council Monday went into closed session to discuss the offer by Bluewater Farms Hatchery for a proposed walleye farm.
The project would be built on city owned property at the junction of Highways 61 and 19.
Mayor Mike Wilson says the discussion was needed because the offer made to the Port Authority last week was incomplete.
The Mayor says the process will move forward with a call for offers from anyone wishing to present a project while staff works with Bluewater Farms on a revised offer.
The deadline for any potential projects to be submitted to the Port Authority is Friday, June 30th, by 3 pm.
