The Wabasha City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, March 3rd, to consider minor language changes to Wabasha’s City Ordinance.
These changes will allow the Ambulance Commission liasion member to be a voting member of the Commission, removes other membership qualifications, and also clarifies that the Commission meets monthly but is not required to meet unless there is business.
Additionally, this cleans up the code so that it is clear that the Ambulance Commission does not manage the operations of the Ambulance Service, but serves in an advisory role to the Council.
The changes will make it easier to recruit and retain members.
This public hearing will take place at the Wabasha City Council meeting which will be held at the Wabasha City Hall, 900 Hiawatha Drive E. This meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. and other items are on the agenda.
Additional information on the change is available through City Hall.
All interested parties are urged to attend the public hearing or submit a comment via mail to: PO Box 268 Wabasha, MN 55981, by phone at 651-363-4971, or via email: clerk@wabasha.org.
