Plainview City Council Truth in Taxation

The Plainview City Council will hold their annual Truth in Taxation meeting Tuesday, December 10th.

Mayor Aaron Luckstein says the Council holds a public hearing to hear from residents about the levy and city budget.

He says residents should have already received a list of levy numbers from the City, County and School District.

Luckstein says the proposed 7% levy increase has been cut to 6.7 %. Luckstein says roughly half of that number is making up for inflation and the increase is the rising costs of insurance, fuel and salaries.
