Today is the last day to donate during the 44th Minnesota FoodShare March Campaign.
The campaign is the largest grassroots food and fund drive in the state and its focus is to bring together organizations, businesses, faith communities, neighborhoods, and individuals to help stock and support food shelves.
The need has never been greater - in 2024 Minnesotans made an estimated record-breaking 9 million visits to food shelves. At the Red Wing Area Food Shelf they served 9,544 households, 28,329 people, and distributed 474,926 pounds of food.
If you are able to help, monetary donations can be mailed to: Red Wing Area Food Shelf 1755 Old West Main Street, Red Wing, MN 55066 or online donations accepted at https://www.redwingfoodshelf.org/donate.
Their website also has links to neighboring food shelves in Cannon Falls, Ellsworth, Lake City, Pine Island and Zumbrota.
