Mighty Mississippi River Clean-Up

Minnesota is home to the headwaters of the Mississippi and the first 650 miles of the river and what we do here in our state directly impacts the remaining 1,700 miles.

Next week, there are two opportunities to help clean up areas around our part of the river during Earth Week.

  • Wednesday, April 22: Meet at the base of He Mni Can-Barn Bluff at 4 p.m. Event goes from 4 to 6 p.m.

  • Saturday, April 25: Meet at the intersection of County Road 18 & Sturgeon Lake Road (near the Tipsy Turtle) at 9 a.m. Event goes from 9 to 11 a.m.

Garbage bags will be provided, and participants must wear gloves and study shoes.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Sponsored by Goodhue County, the City of Red Wing, and the Honoring Dakota Project.
