Memorial Day 17th Field of Honor Programs

Pier 55 Red Wing Area Seniors will once again be holding special events over Memorial Day weekend at Bay Point Park.

Lance Garrick, President of Hiawatha Valley Family Beyond the Yellow Ribbon, says the 17th Field of Honor Program starts at 6 pm Friday, May 24th and Saturday morning at 11 am will be the Flag Memorial and will feature the Sheldon Brass Band and All Veteran’s Color Guard.

Garrick says Memorial Day, Monday 27th will include an 8:30 am laying of the wreaths at John Rich Park and then at 9 am the ceremony gets underway at Bay Point Park.

Flags will be on display, rain or shine, from Friday, May 24 through Monday, May 27th.
