The Twins head across the Wisconsin border to start a two-game series against the Milwaukee Brewers at American Family Field tonight. The Twins are coming off a series win against the Pittsburgh Pirates at home over the weekend. Minnesota has a season-high six game lead over the Cleveland Guardians in the AL Central race at 65-and-60. Bailey Ober starts for the Twins tonight. Lewis Cine is dealing with another injury. The Vikings safety limped off the practice field at TCO Performance Center in the middle of practice yesterday. Cine was examined by trainers on the sideline and didn't return to practice. The 2022 first-round pick suffered a season-ending leg injury in Week Four last season. The Vikings finish up preseason with a game against the Cardinals on Saturday.


The Minnesota Lynx will try to get back in the win column when they host the Dallas Wings at the Target Center tonight. The Lynx are coming off an 88-74 loss to the Storm at home on Sunday. Minnesota is tied for sixth-place in the WNBA at 15-and-17.


The Colts are granting Jonathan Taylor permission to seek a trade. According to ESPN, Indianapolis will be seeking significant trade compensation including a first round pick or a collection of picks that equates to one. Taylor and the team have been in a three-week standoff that began when he reported to training camp. The 24-year-old, who is entering the final year of his rookie deal, has been seeking a long-term contract extension. The Colts selected Taylor with the 41st overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. He holds the franchise record for a single season with 1,811 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns.


The longest active winning streak in the NFL has been snapped. For the first time in 24 contests, the Ravens have dropped a preseason game. Baltimore's record came to an end after falling 29-28 to the Washington Commanders at FedEx Field in Landover. Joey Slye kicked a 49-yard field goal with nine seconds remaining to lead the Commanders to their second victory of the preseason. Sam Howell completed 19 of 25 for 188 yards and two touchdowns. Josh Johnson and Anthony Brown each saw time under center for the Ravens, and each threw two touchdowns and one interception.


Michigan is enforcing a self-imposed three-game suspension on their head football coach. The Wolverines are suspending Jim Harbaugh for the first three games of the upcoming football season due to alleged violations that occurred during the COVID-19 dead period. Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel said in a statement that the school "will continue to support coach Harbaugh, his staff, and our outstanding student-athletes." Harbaugh is entering his ninth season as the head coach of the Wolverines. An interim coach will be named at a later date.
