Section 1A Championship: Spring Grove 57 Goodhue 48

The Lions withstood an incredible second half rally to fend off the Wildcats for the Section 1A Championship at the Rochester Mayo Civic Center Arena.

Spring Grove led 46-27 with 6:17 left before Goodhue went to a trapping defense to spur a 17-0 run to get to within 46-44 with just under three minutes left.

Spring Grove made eight straight free throws to seal the deal the rest of the way.

Elijah Solum had 22 points to lead Spring Grove with Tysen Grinde adding 14 mand Jaxon Strinmoen 12.

Will Opsahl poured in 28 points for Goodhue. Adam Poncelet added nine points and Justin Buck seven.

Spring Grove heads to state with a 29-1 record. Goodhue ends their season at 26-4.

Section 1AA Championship: Plainview-Elgin-Millville 58 Lake City 55

A heartbreaking loss for the Tigers to the Bulldogs at the Rochester Mayo Civic Center Arena.

Kaiden Peters hit a 25 foot three pointer at the buzzer to end the Tigers great season.

Lake City trailed 52-43 late but rallied to tie the game 55-55 before Peters dramatic shot capped a frenzied finish.

Aeron Stevens fueled the Bulldogs offense with 33 points while Kaiden Peters added 12.

Hunter Lorenson led Lake City with 17 points while Ryan Heise added 15, Keegan Ryan 10 and Jaden Shones chipped in with nine points.

PEM is state bound with a 26-4 record. Lake City ends a great season with a 26-2 record.
