The Friends of the Ellsworth Public Library’s Phase 4 of the “Once Upon a Library” fundraising for the new Ellsworth Public Library project kicked off this week with virtual silent and premier auctions, a fund-a-need drive, and pledge.
The project involves renovating the vacant BMO Harris bank building for the new library.
The community is invited to their in-person Grand Gala Event on Saturday, October 23, in the future home of the library, 388 Main Street, Ellsworth, for a 5:00 pm Social Hour (cash bar) and a 6:30 pm Dinner.
The building’s fundraising campaign is in the final phase; however, it’s the funds from this event that will finance the furnishings and exterior landscaping. The goal is to raise $200,000 to cover these additional costs.
