Channel One Regional Food Bank in Rochester and Think Bank are excited to partner on the 19th Annual Empty Bowls To-Go fundraiser Tuesday, October 10 and Wednesday, October 11, for which orders are now open.
Participants will enjoy gourmet soups and soups from eight local restaurants as well as hand-painted bowls, serving as a reminder of those who may not know where their next meal will come from.
Last year, the Empty Bowls event raised more than $86,000 for Channel One to increase food security for community neighbors in 14 counties in southeastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin, including Goodhue and Wabasha counties.
In addition to the hand-painted memento bowls, people may purchase a unique specialty bowl crafted by local artisans.
Empty Bowls To-Go orders will close at 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 4. All orders will be picked up at Canadian Honker Catering located at 2112 2nd St SW in Rochester.
