The City of Red Wing Public Works Department has announced there will be no parking on the portion of Levee Road from the bulkheads to Withers Harbor Drive beginning Thursday, October 24.
There will be single-lane traffic with lane shifts to allow equipment and trucks to work on the dredging of the Mississippi River.
In addition, there will be no fishing or parking on the west bulkhead.
The work will be conducted on weekdays, with no restrictions for the project's duration on Saturdays and Sundays.
The Army Corp of Engineers expects the dredging to take approximately five weeks, weather-dependent. Traffic control will be in place and drivers are encouraged to avoid this area.
When the work is completed, traffic patterns and parking will return to normal.
