Wabasha County Corrected Property Values

Wabasha County’s Board of Commissioners during a special meeting on April 25 approved the correction of state-assessed property values for taxes payable in 2025.

The County Board acknowledged the clerical error and gave its approval for the Assessor’s Office and Auditor-Treasurer to proceed with the corrections as outlined, and to notify impacted taxing jurisdictions.

According to the Wabasha County Herald, the estimated reduction of tax revenue is $206,800 across impacted jurisdictions.

MN Dept. Of Revenue has confirmed the correct final values, and Wabasha County is taking corrective steps to ensure that the appropriate figures are now used for tax abatement computation.

All impacted jurisdictions will be notified, and appropriate documentation will be retained for audit and compliance purposes.
