With the weather turning chilly, the community can help the United Way of Goodhue, Wabasha, and Pierce Counties help those in need this fall by participating in Socktober.
As the name implies, this campaign seeks donations of new socks as well as hats, gloves, underwear, and hygiene items for kids, women and kids.
Drop-off locations include City Hall (second floor), the Library, the Public Works building (229 Tyler Road N.) and Merchants Bank in Red Wing and Cannon Falls.
