Friday is the final day to register for a unique fundraiser this month that encourages people of all skill levels to participate in trail racing events, to get outdoors and to enjoy the beautiful local trails in Southeast Minnesota.
Co-Race Director, Mandy Weilandt, says the initial Storm Trail Race in 2019 was a success, with a percentage of the profits going to organizations that assist with Youth Mental Health treatment and awareness. She says donations from the July 24th event will go to the Youth Mental Health programs at Hiawatha Valley Mental Health Center.
The race will be held at Briggs Outdoors, 27171 County Highway 9, Winona, and you will get to experience the steep climbs, open prairies, and wooded single-track trails that the bluffs in the Driftless Region has to offer.
There are 5 different distances to choose from.
Wood-fired Pizzas will be available for purchase, so you can come early, hang out for a while and enjoy a pre-race meal. There will also be live music,
REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED PRIOR TO RACE DAY! There will NOT be race day registrations.
For more information, and to register, go online to thestormtrs.org or the Storm Trail Race Series Facebook page.
