Plainview Legion Classic Car & Truck

Plainview American Legion Post 179 will host a classic car and truck show from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1.

The event will include meat raffles, 50/50   raffles, and basket rafflees. Proceeds will benefit the Davin Tukua Athletic and Youth Scholarship Fund, supporting local youth programs and athletics, and the Wabasha County Veterans’ Office.

The Plainview News reports the nonprofit scholarship fund is named for Tukua, a Century High School student who died in a vehicle accident in 2023.

It offers financial aid for students with a focus on academic excellence and financial need.

Car show registration starts at noon on Saturday, August 1. The Rockin’ Hep Cats will perform from 3 to 6 p.m. in the Legion parking lot.

Food will be provided by Rollin’ Smoke Shack.
