The Minnesota Vikings didn't waste anytime finding Kirk Cousins' replacement. The Purple traded for Cardinals starting quarterback Joshua Dobbs yesterday. Minnesota also received a 2024 seventh-round pick and sent a 2024 sixth-rounder to complete the deal. Dobbs and rookie Jaren Hall are expected to compete for the starting QB job after Cousins tore his Achilles tendon during Minnesota's win over Green Bay on Sunday. Dobbs has completed close to 63-percent of his passes for 1,569 yards, eight touchdowns, and five interceptions in eight games this season. He also added 258 yards and three scores on the ground. Minnesota also shipped guard Ezra Cleveland out to Jacksonville in exchange for a sixth-round pick. The new-look Vikings visit the Falcons on Sunday.

The voice of the Minnesota Twins is hanging up his headset. The club announced yesterday that television play-by-play announcer Dick Bremer will be stepping away from the broadcast booth in order to take a special assistant role in the front office. Bremer began calling Twins games in 1983, and he announced nearly five-thousand contests over his 40-year career. The team did not announce its plans for a new television announcer moving forward.

The Minnesota Timberwolves take on the Denver Nuggets in a First Round playoff re-match at the Target Center tonight. The Wolves lost to Denver four-games-to-one in the Western Conference bracket last year. Minnesota is looking to bounce back from a 127-113 loss to Atlanta on Monday. The Wolves blew a 21-point third-quarter lead and fell to 1-and-2 with the loss. Tonight's game against Denver tips off at 7:00 PM.

The Minnesota Wild are gearing up for their game against the New Jersey Devils tomorrow night. The Wild are coming off a 4-3 loss to New Jersey on the road last Sunday. Tomorrow's game begins at 7:00 PM.

The Bills have added a veteran piece on defense before the NFL trade deadline. Buffalo acquired Rasul Douglas and a 2024 fifth-round pick from the Packers in exchange for a third-round selection in '24. The cornerback voiced his frustrations with the Pack after their recent loss to the Vikings. He has one interception and six passes defended through seven games this season, all of which he started. Green Bay is 2-and-5 and will host the Rams on Sunday afternoon.

The Rangers are one win away from claiming their first World Series title in franchise history. Texas held off the Arizona Diamondbacks for an 11-7 victory in Game Four of the World Series at Chase Field. Corey Seager hit a two-run shot to highlight a five-run second inning by Texas, while a three-run blast from Marcus Semien an inning later put the Rangers ahead 10-0. Texas starter Andrew Heaney earned the win after striking out three and allowing one run through five frames. Lourdes Gurriel Jr. hit a three-run homer in the eighth inning and finished with four RBI. The teams will meet for Game Five tonight in Phoenix.
