Boys Basketball:

Section 1AA Championship: Goodhue 76 Caledonia 71

The Wildcats rallied from an eight point second half deficit to edge the Warriors at the Rochester Mayo Civic Auditorium. Goodhue goes to state for a third straight year, the seventh time overall in school history and the first time in Class AA.

Luke Roschen led Goodhue with 30 points, Alex Loos added 23 and Owen Roschen 13. Caledonia was led by Aaron Stemper's 27 points with Grant King adding 23.

Caledonia ends the year with an 18-11 record. Goodhue is 29-1 and now is off until either March 24th at Target Center or March 25th at Williams Arena in the Class AA State quarterfinals.

The tournament brackets will be revealed Saturday after all of the section finals are completed and teams will be seeded 1-8 across the four classes.

Goodhue was ranked #2 in Class AA in the final regular season rankings.

There is a two week break between the girls and boys state basketball tournaments this year due to Williams Arena being used next weekend for the NCAA Women's Basketball regionals.
