The Red Wing Wingers wrap up their regular season tonight at 7 pm. The Hill-Murray (Maplewood, MN) ( 11-8) varsity baseball team has a home non-conference game vs. Red Wing (6-13-1) .


The Minnesota Twins are on a seven-game losing streak following a 12-3 loss to the Washington Nationals at Nationals Park. The Twins were within two before giving up four runs in the fifth and three runs in the sixth. Carlos Correa went deep in the losing effort, and Pablo Lopez was charged with his fourth loss after surrendering seven runs on eight hits in five innings. Minnesota is in third place in the AL Central at 24-and-23. Joe Ryan starts for Minnesota against the Nats tonight. Pre-game 5:45pm game on KWNG 106 & WPVW.


The Minnesota Timberwolves are ramping up for the next round of the playoffs. The Wolves take on the Dallas Mavericks in Game One of the Western Conference Finals tomorrow night. Minnesota beat Denver 98-90 on Sunday to win the Western Conference Semifinals four games to three. The Wolves will have home court advantage during their series against Dallas. Tomorrow's game tips off at 7:30 at the Target Center.


One of the NFL's top receivers is holding out. ESPN reports Vikings pass catcher Justin Jefferson didn't show up for OTA's yesterday. The three-time Pro Bowler was selected 22nd-overall out of LSU in the 2020 draft and had more than one thousand receiving yards in just ten games last season. Eagles wideout AJ Brown recently set the receiver market after agreeing to a three-year, 96-million-dollar extension last month. 


OTA's are here. The Packers officially started "Phase Two" of their offseason program yesterday and will continue with a practice open to the media today. The team holds another session on Thursday before taking a brief break. Green Bay has several OTA workouts scheduled between May 28th and June 6th, before mandatory minicamp gets underway on June 11th.


The Brewers fell to the Marlins 3-2 in their series opener from Miami. Trevor Megill blew the save after giving up the game-tying run. Mitch White surrendered the game winning run in the bottom of the 10th. Andruw Monasterio slugged a solo homer for Milwaukee, which remains first in the NL Central at 27-and-20. The three-game set continues tonight.
