The Wild poured in seven goals in the third period of their 10-7 win over the Vancouver Canucks at the Xcel Energy Center. The Wild trailed by two entering the frame before scoring five goals in the first six minutes of the third to take the lead for good. Kirill Kaprizov and Joel Eriksson Ek both had three goals and three assists in the victory, while Marco Rossi, Jonas Brodin, Matt Boldy, and Mats Zuccarello also lit the lamp. The Wild are on a six-game point streak. Minnesota is tied for fifth place in the Central Division with 58 points and a 26-23-and-6 record. The Wild visit the Jets tonight.

The Timberwolves are keeping a veteran player around for a while longer. ESPN reports Mike Conley agreed yesterday to a two-year, 21-million-dollar extension to stay with the T-Wolves. He was slated to become a free agent this summer. Conley is shooting 44-percent on three-pointers this season and has a 59-percent effective field goal percentage, which are both career-highs. Conley and the Wolves host the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday.

The Vikings may have some trouble re-signing quarterback Kirk Cousins during the offseason. Albert Breer is reporting that the Vikings are not willing to give Cousins a fully guaranteed contract in free agency. All off Cousins' contracts with Minnesota have been fully guaranteed up to this point, but the 35-year-old is coming off a season-ending torn Achilles injury in the middle of the 2023 campaign. Cousins passed for 2,331 yards, 18 touchdowns, and five interceptions in eight games last season.
