The Vikings set their future into motion at the NFL Draft in Kansas City tonight. The Vikings are slated to select at number-23 in the first round, which will be the only round taking place tonight. Rounds two and three will take place on Friday, while the remaining four rounds will happen throughout the day on Saturday. Popular rumors surrounding Minnesota's choice include the team picking a wide receiver, cornerback, or trading up for a quarterback.

The Twins weren't able to complete a three-game sweep of the Yankees after a 12-6 loss at Target Field. Kenta Maeda lasted just three innings and gave up ten runs on 11 hits to fall to 0-and-4. Jose Miranda hit two home runs in the losing effort, while Joey Gallo also went yard. The Twins are still in first place in the AL Central at 14-and-11. Tyler Mahle starts for Minnesota against the Kansas City Royals at home tonight. Hear it on KWNG & WBHA at 6 pm, 1st pitch at 6:40 pm.

Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards may be in some legal trouble. Edwards was given a citation for third-degree assault on Tuesday after he allegedly hit two women with a chair after Minnesota's Game Five loss to the Denver Nuggets. Video of the alleged incident shows Edwards sprinting off the court after missing a game-tying shot at the buzzer. He then picks up a chair and twirls it around while continuing into the locker room, making contact with the women as he goes by. Denver Police reported that while both women were injured, the injuries were not serious. The Timberwolves released a statement yesterday saying that they are getting some more information, adding that they have "no further comment at this moment."

The Wild are gearing up for what could be their final game of the 2022-23 campaign. Minnesota faces elimination in Game Six of the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs against the Dallas Stars at the Xcel Energy Center tomorrow. The Wild had a two-games-to-one advantage in the best-of-seven series before losing their last two games. In other team news, the NHL announced that the Wild will play November games against Toronto and Ottawa in Sweden next season.

The Heat are moving on to the next round of the NBA playoffs after a wild finish in Milwaukee. Miami earned a 128-126 overtime win against the Bucks. Jimmy Butler caught an inbound lob pass and kissed a falling layup off the glass to send the game to OT. Giannis Antetokounmpo scored five points in the extra frame for Milwaukee, but the Deer let the shot clock run out with five seconds left which secured the win for Miami. Giannis scored 38 points for the Bucks, which lost as the number-1 overall seed in the playoffs. It's only the sixth time in NBA history the first seed has lost to the eighth seed.

Round one of the NFL draft kicks off tonight. The Packers have the 13th overall pick. Green Bay has picks number-42 and 45 in the second round and 78-overall in round three. Those rounds take place tomorrow. Rounds four-through-seven begin on Saturday. The team has a pick each in rounds four-to-six, and four selections in round seven.

Meanwhile, a former Packers' legend is sharing his thoughts on the Aaron Rodgers trade. Brett Favre told ESPN yesterday that, "Aaron will do great!" The former Green Bay quarterback went on to say, "He will handle the transition as well as anyone. And I think he's the best at making everyone around him better." Favre was traded from the Packers to the Jets back in 2008 during training camp. Rodgers took over the starting job in Green Bay that season.

The Brewers salvaged their series against the Tigers after a 6-2 victory in Milwaukee. Freddy Peralta got the win after surrendering two unearned runs on four hits while striking out eight batters. Victor Caratini crushed a two-run homer while Joey Wiemer also went deep. Milwaukee improved to 16-and-9 and is second in the NL Central. The team opens a three-game series against the Angels in Milwaukee tomorrow.
