Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation (SMIF) recently approved nine grants totaling $180,000 to support entrepreneurial outreach in communities that participate in SMIF’s Rural Entrepreneurial Ventures (REV) program.
$20,000 will go to Plainview Economic Development Authority to build relationships with local businesses to connect them with the assistance they need, including information and trainings.
REV provides coaching, resources and connections throughout the visioning and implementation process as each community explores what economic development means for their town.
