The Sheldon Theatre Board announces they have chosen the next Executive and Artistic Director, Shantel Dow.
Dow is native to Minnesota. After graduating from the College of St. Benedict, she lived in Iowa for many years before moving back.
She has served in many non-profit positions including manager of the Greater Twin Cities’ Youth Symphonies, executive director of the Chariton, Iowa Chamber/Main Streets Program, and of Lucas County Development Corporation helping large businesses relocate and thrive in southern Iowa.
Beginning in 2003, Dow was an entrepreneur, owning and operating a talent booking agency before being hired as the executive director at the Reif Center in Grand Rapids, MN, where she has served since 2018.
Dow will take over as leader mid-December as she works with Sheldon Theatre’s current Executive Director, Jeff Larson.
Larson’s last day will be December 31, 2023.
