The Lake City Police Department is teaming up with the Lake City Public Library for a self defense class for women 17 years of age and older.
The free class will be led by LCPD Chief Cory Kubista and Training Officer Jesse Vold starting at 6 pm, Thursday, January 27th at the Library.
Kubista says they look for 12 to 14 people for the class which filled up fast so it’s highly probable they will hold another one.
Attendees will learn basic skills for striking and kicking and the class includes discussion and physical activity. To be put on a waiting list call the Lake City Public Library at 651-345-4013.
