RWPS Referendum Info Meetings

On November 3rd, Red Wing Public Schools will ask voters to consider one question on the ballot as part of their referendum. 

They are holding a pair of open house informational open houses prior to the the election.

The proposal includes a building bond for improvements at Sunnyside Elementary and a capital projects levy to support ongoing investments in facilities, curriculum, and technology.

Open House #1 will be Tuesday, September 22^nd from 6:30 - 7:30 pm at the Red Wing High School.

Open House #2 will be held at Sunnyside Elementary on Tuesday, October 6^th from 6:30 - 7:30 pm.Sunnyside Elementary

Building Improvements

Funded through a $12.86 million bond

• Renovations and improvements at Sunnyside Elementary

• Dedicated PreK and Kindergarten learning spaces

• Building systems, safety, and accessibility improvements

Technology & Capital Needs

Funded through a 10-year capital projects levy

• Technology and instructional equipment

• Curriculum and educational resources

• Ongoing facility and capital needs

The proposal is estimated to have a tax impact of around $9 per month on the average value home in the district.
