RWHS Friendship Connection

Three students from RWHS and two from Germany are participating in the Friendship Connection.

Over 44 years the exchange program has involved some 34,000 students from Germany and the U.S.

Each year U.S. families are invited to host German students for three weeks in the spring while American students have an opportunity to travel to Germany for three weeks in the summer.

Red Wing High School has participated for over 25 years, and this year two German students were hosted by Allison Littfin and Josi Johnson.

While Josi has been part of the "host only" program and has hosted for the past three years, Allison is hosting for the first time.

This summer Allison will travel to Germany to stay with the family of her exchange student as part of the "full exchange" program.

Evie Borgschatz participated last year in the full exchange, and she had a wonderful time hosting and then spending three weeks with her host family in Germany.
