Richard Samuelson Pavilion Byllesby Park Ceremony

Saturday, June 8th will mark the ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony for the new Richard Samuelson Pavilion at Goodhue County Byllesby Park, 5001 Highway 19 Blvd, near Cannon Falls.

The public is invited to join in the celebration. The ceremony will begin at 9 AM, followed by the ribbon cutting and an opportunity to explore the new facilities

The County’s project to bring drinking water, electricity, modern restrooms, and a new 150-person gathering space to Byllesby Park began in 2019 with a grant funding request to the Greater MN Regional Parks & Trails Commission (GMRPTC).

County staff and representatives, grant partners, community members, and park supporters plan to gather together on June 8th at Byllesby Park to celebrate the official ribbon cutting for the new facilities and to honor former County Commissioner Richard Samuelson.

A remarkable advocate for parks and trails, Samuelson spent twenty years serving on the County Board and the Park Board
