Red Wing School Board Meeting


The Native American Student Association garnered praise from the Red Wing School Board after presenting on Monday, November 21st during the boards pre-meeting workshop.


Kennesey Taylor-Western Boy and Duane Taylor reviewed the association's constitution and bylaws while showcasing activities.


During the regular meeting that followed, the board formally voted to approve NASA's status as a permanent student government organization.


The board also:

· Scheduled new board member orientation for December 12th

· Continued discussing the superintendent search processes and set December 17th for Interim Superintendent Frank Norton's evaluation.

· Approved minor revisions to policies including curriculum, graduation requirements and online learning options.


The school board also met in closed session for preliminary consideration of allegations or charges against someone subject to the board's authority. The board simply adjourned after coming back into open session.
