Red Wing Residence Fire




The Red Wing Fire Department was dispatched at 3:30 am Wednesday to a possible structure fire in the 2100 block of Pioneer Road in Red Wing.


Firefighter-paramedics arrived on the scene within 5 minutes and found heavy smoke coming from a residence.


The sole occupant was out of the residence and firefighters made entry and extinguished the fire.


They remained on scene for 2 ½ hours working on overhaul.


The residence was left unhabitable.


There were no injuries reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.


Additional support on scene was provided by Ellsworth Fire Department, the Red Wing Police Department and Goodhue County Sheriffs Dispatch assisted on scene.


Hastings Ambulance provided coverage in Red Wing during the incident.
