Red Wing Police Downtown Parking

Parking hours in Red Wing are changing downtown and that means residents and visitors will need to pay closer attention to where and how long they park.

Assistant Police Chief, Brian Metling, says almost all downtown spaces will now be 3-hour spots, one hour longer than most spaces now, and it will provide more clarity for everyone.

Metling says enforcement will start with warning tickets and official tickets will follow in early July.

He says the Department has new equipment to help them keep track of parking.

15-minute spaces will be located at the end of each block, with extra spots available on long blocks.

There are also free 20-hour parking ramp options and three lots to choose from.
