Red Wing High School Cell Phone Rules

The Red Wing High School has updated its cell phone procedures as of the first day of school yesterday.

Students are expected to keep their cell phones out of sight and on silent during class.

The goals are to:

• Increase student engagement.

• Improve student learning.

• Increase social interaction.

• Teach proper cell phone etiquette.

• Decrease distractions.

• 
  

The following procedures will be enforced if a student’s cell phone is used during class.

First offense, the cellphone will be place on the teacher's desk until the end of class.

Second offense, the cellphone will be picked up by a hall supervisor and brought to the office to be picked up at the end of 7th period.

A third offense will be the same as the second but a conference will be scheduled with the parent, student, teacher, and administrator to discuss the ongoing cellphone use in class.
