The City of Red Wing is celebrating the Earth next week.
Red Wing Earth Week kicks off Sunday, and there are themed days and community events designed to bring people together around the slogan of "Clean Earth – Green Earth."
During Red Wing Earth Week, each day offers a different challenge for residents that will improve our air, land, water or slow the acceleration of climate change.
The hope is for residents to see how easy it is to accomplish during Earth Week, then adopt some or all into their everyday lifestyle.
Monday-Meatless Monday
Tuesday-Plastic Free Day
Wednesday-Clean up Litter Day
Thursday-Plants for Pollinators Day
Friday-Take a Hike Day
Other activities include Earth Week Tree Giveaway, Pottery Pond Rain Garden Restoration Project, Burnside Students Earth Week Art Project, Red Wing Arts Treasures on the Trail and Mighty Mississippi River Clean Up Challenge.
