Red Wing City Council Strategic Plan Adopted

As Red Wing can expect a new Council Administrator, a new Mayor, and at least one new Council member in the next year, now is a particularly critical time to plan for the City’s future.

Add in the potential for a new budget reality and it's clear why City Council chose to adopt a new Strategic Plan for 2024-2026 last Monday night.

Developed through a mini-strategic planning process that included three Council workshops, the new plan lays out four priority areas and actions to work on each one.

The priorities are (a) Increase Housing for All; (b) Increase Economic Development and Diversify the Tax Base; (c) Improve Employee Culture and Maintain a Strong Workforce; and (d) Stabilize Finances and Improve Budgeting.
