Red Wing City Council

The Red Wing City Council Monday night unanimously approved an agreement with the Red Wing Area Baseball Association (RWABA) to use approximately $225,000 in privately raised funds to deliver significant improvements to the Red Wing Athletic Field, including a new first-baseline patio and spectator viewing area.

The agreement places the responsibility for project funding, contracting, and construction on RWABA and minimizes the City’s financial and administrative obligations.

The City Council received an update on the proposed preliminary 2027 budget and levy that was initially presented at a workshop August 3.

Since that workshop, the proposed levy increase was reduced from 3.99% to 3.53%.

The Council will be asked to approve a preliminary "not to exceed" levy at its next meeting on Monday, September 14.
