Plainview Corn on the Cob Days

Corn-on-the-Cob Days is a five-day celebration of “Everything Corn” that is unique to Plainview and it kicks off Wednesday, August 12th – Sunday, August 16th.
The 56th Annual event kicks off with a praise fest the first evening of the festival and ends with a grand parade.
Wednesday, the 12th, at 7 pm enjoy the Praise Fest and Pie Social at Wedgewood Park Shelter. Thursday the 13th, from 5 pm – 9 pm it’s live music by Mike Puetz and chicken by the Plainview Fire Department at TJ’s Tavern.
Friday is the Shop Local event on West Broadway and city wide garage sales. Friday from 9 pm – midnight it’s live music by Flash Mob at TJ’s Tavern.
Saturday, August 15th, features a Car and Tractor show from 8 am – noon, 8 am – 11 am it’s a German Club Fundraiser breakfast at the American Legion, a 5K and 1 mile Fun Run/Walk at 9 am, 3 person best ball golf tournament, a Fun Fest, Kids Soap Box Car Race and more.
At 1 pm Saturday in front of the American Legion, it’s the special Greenwood Prairie Classic Iron Club Tractor Games and City Hall Challenge. From 2-6 pm it’s live music with Jill Wood at TJ’s Tavern. At 8:30 pm at Kim’s Saloon, live music IV Play.
Sunday, August 16th highlights include A Co-Ed Vollyball Tournament and enjoying all the corn on the cob that you can eat served from 11 am-3 pm or until it’s gone.
The Grande Parade kicks off around 1:30 pm, Pedal Pull at Wedgewood Park following the parade. UnHniged takes the stage at the American Legion tent from 6-10 pm to wrap up the event.
