Goodhue County held a Special Election Tuesday, to fill the seat of former Commissioner Paul Drotos, for District 5.
On Wednesday, the Goodhue County Canvassing Board met to certify the official results of the Special Election.
The official results remained the the same as the unofficial tally, with Susan Betcher receiving 630 votes and Ed Moritz with 92 votes.
Commissioner Betcher will be sworn in on March 7th at the County Board meeting and will serve the remaining term for District 5, which is set to expire on January 6th, 2025.
