November 11 is Veterans Day and to honor the service and sacrifice of our veterans, the National Eagle Center is offering complimentary admission for all active-duty military personnel and veterans during the month.
The National Eagle Center invites members of the public to attend a Veterans Day flag-raising ceremony on Saturday, November 11 at 12:00 p.m. conducted by the American Legion Post #50 and Burkhardt-Roemer VFW Post #4086 in Wabasha.
The Center has a long tradition of working with veterans and veterans’ groups, including traveling outreach with eagle ambassadors to the VA Hospital in St. Paul for special programs.
The Center’s first ambassador, Harriet, is currently featured on the Minnesota Support Our Troops license plate as a tribute to the work she did with veterans.
While admission is free for active-duty military personnel and veterans throughout the month of November, the $3 seat reservation fee is still required for regularly scheduled eagle and nature programs.
For additional details about the November veteran admission program, individuals should contact the Center by emailing info@nationaleaglecenter.org or calling 651.565.4989.
