A degree in Mechatronics opens the door to a wide range of high-paying careers in robotics, engineering, and automation industries.
Minnesota State College Southeast is holding a Mechatronics Open House on Thursday, April 3, from 5 to 6:30 pm.
Actually TWO Open Houses taking place at the same time, one on the Winona campus, and one on the Red Wing campus. Both campuses are equipped with Mechatronics labs.
In Red Wing, visitors can meet a working robotic dog from the Nestlé Purina plant in Hager City.
This fascinating four-legged robot is used to “sniff” out air leaks and faulty bearings in the company’s production facilities.
In Winona, visitors can see some of the capstone projects Mechatronics students are working on, including a claw machine that is designed to pick up a prize every time. Last year’s students built a working pinball machine which will also be on display.
Interested students and their families can meet the Mechatronics program instructors and connect with employers in the industry.
And don't worry about missing dinner -- pizza will be served.
Register in advance at www.southeastmn.edu/mechatronics for a chance to win prizes at the Mechatronics Open House.
Must be present to win.
