The Minnesota Department of Transportation has announced more than 230 construction projects that will help maintain Minnesota’s roads, bridges and transportation infrastructure.
Significant projects in Southeast Minnesota this year include:
Construction of a roundabout at Hwy 61 and Hwy 316 that is scheduled for July 18 to the end of October 2022. The location is in Goodhue County near Welch.
Repaving 27 miles of southbound Hwy 61 from Wabasha to Minnesota City, including improving three northbound and four southbound bridges and installing a reduced conflict intersection at the Hwy 61 and Hwy 41 intersection. Construction is scheduled for April 18 to the end of October.
Continuing work on Highway 52 between Zumbrota and Cannon Falls including reconstruction of southbound lanes, a new Highway 52/Highway 57 interchange, and completing a new Goodhue County Road 14 connection near Cannon Falls.
